Developed by psychologist, and former Pepperdine All-American and Wimbledon competitor, Dr. Anthony Ross, at Mentally Tough Tennis we believe that every parent deserves to experience the joy of their child's success...
And having worked with kids of every standard for the last 15 years, as well as being players ourselves, we understand the challenges that competing presents. It's this work that has helped us develop and refine our revolutionary PACT Mental Toughness Process...that's a process that helps players overcome the shortfalls in traditional sport psychology advice that most coaches rely on.
Thanks to our PACT Process we’ve had a front row seat to see kids go from being chokers, exploders, tankers, and poor concentrators to highly effective competitors… We‘ve experienced their enthusiasm when they finally figure out how to drive their competitive destiny….We’ve heard their excitement when they achieve the college scholarship of their dreams... We’ve talked with parents whose feelings of frustration, helplessness, and disappointment have been reduced and even replaced by more calm, contentment, and pride… We’ve even been doing this stuff long enough to get to see clients go on to become Junior World #1 and Grand Slam champions, compete against the likes of Federer and Nadal...and we also commonly hear from those who now apply our guidance to their work careers as adults.
We'd love your family to experience these joys as well (and avoid the disappointment parents so commonly feel at the end of the junior tennis journey). To do so choose one of the 3 options below that we've found best serves our clients' circumstances :-)
Would you like to give your child the best chance to win more on and off the court (without having to improve physical skills)? Or does he/she have specific competitive issues that needs expert help? If so, you should apply for 1 of our limited complimentary 30min individual SKYPE consults where we'll offer immediate help and recommend a plan moving forward...
The junior tennis journey is an incredible opportunity for kids to build skills for a successful life, it can be a lot of fun, but it can also be pretty challenging at times. And few parents end the journey without significant regrets...If you would like our guidance in navigating the most common challenges and pitfalls, we've developed our family membership to provide consistent support for you and your child along the way :-)
Want your child to win more against the players he/she most wants to beat, while developing skills that are the foundation of success in all life domains? "Anthony was a warrior in the true sense of the word and he absolutely got the most out of his ability. If he wants to share his secrets on mental toughness and effective performance you better be part of it because he knows exactly what he is talking about"
"Learning the Mentally Tough Tennis PACT process was crucial in me becoming Junior World #1 and competing in the Australian Open main draw when I was just 16 years old"
"I’ve seen the benefits of my 3 children learning the PACT Process both on and off the court. I was excited to hear my 11 year-old daughter report applying the Process to perform well when she felt anxious during an exam. I’ve even used the strategies when about to facilitate a large meeting at work"
"When I was about to step out to play Rafael Nadal on the centre court at the Australian Open there was no one I would rather have had in the locker room preparing me for that challenge than the MTT team "
"The Mentally Tough Tennis team's expertise, passion, and care resulted in my son Jack going from virtually unranked as a 14 year-old to being selected as Roger Federer's 2015 Brisbane International hitting partner, and earning a scholarship to USC where he is now an All-American. Witnessing Jack's personal and competitive development under their mentorship has been a great experience for both Jack and myself as a parent. "
"When working with Mentally Tough Tennis in High School, I worked on applying the PACT process to not only tennis but school contexts like exams as well. It was a great help on my journey to becoming school captain, then a wonderful college experience, and now the working world where I still apply the skills I learned on a daily basis"
