My early love of the game grew out of hitting balls for hours at a time against a wall at one end of my family home. And if I look back at what a beautiful life tennis has afforded me I’m very thankful.
And just like it can do for young players today, developing my own mental toughness through tennis taught me the skills to overcome inevitable life challenges along the way.
You can hear my story here...HEAR MY STORY
"After winning a Bronze Ball at the USTA Boys 16’s indoor Nationals I went from relative obscurity to a top 30 Nationally ranked player. With that win my personal expectations along with the pressure that goes along went through the roof. I then proceeded to flame out in the 1st round of both Winter Nationals and Easter Bowl. That's when my Dad said it's time to speak with Dr. Ross. After a few sessions I started winning again, and more importantly became more comfortable on the court, he was instrumental in helping me deal with the pressure/thoughts/anxiety that every competitive tennis player goes through”"
"Unbelievable day. Still can’t believe this. Thanks so much MTT all of this is OUR hard work paying off :-)"
"Partnering with Mentally Tough Tennis has been a game changer for us in better serving parents' greatest desires for their children's success on and off the court..."
"Learning the Mentally Tough Tennis PACT process was crucial in me becoming Junior World #1 and competing in the Australian Open main draw when I was just 16 years old. "
"Working with Mentally Tough Tennis on and off the court played a significant role in my development. It helped me get through my mental "slumps" and galvanised my fighting spirit. The process was an experience I've never got anywhere else"
"Anthony was a warrior in the true sense of the word and he absolutely got the most out of his ability. If he wants to share his secrets on mental toughness and effective performance you better be part of it because he knows exactly what he is talking about"
"When I was about to step out to play Rafael Nadal on the centre court at the Australian Open there was no one I would rather have had in the locker room preparing me for that challenge than the MTT team "
"The Mentally Tough Tennis team's expertise, passion, and care resulted in my son Jack going from virtually unranked as a 14 year-old to being selected as Roger Federer's Brisbane International hitting partner, and earning a scholarship to USC where he became an All-American. Witnessing Jack's personal and competitive development under their mentorship WAS a great experience for both Jack and myself as a parent. "
